So I noticed that almost every adult I speak to brings up the same prosaic question. "How's school going?"
How many times have you asked me that question this week? Maybe asking that question is the ice-breaker when it comes to adults? It's usually pretty awkward when I'm around adults. My gregariousness fades, and I become taciturn.
Adult: "How's school going?"
Me: "Good..."
Adult: "Good good..."
*Awkward 16 seconds*
Adult: "So do you like your school?"
Me: "Yeah, it's cool..."
Do you see where I'm going here?
